GRADES 1 AND 2
Last week nine children were absent from our room due to coughs and colds. All have returned with big smiles.
The first grade is enjoying the stories in "Our New Friends."
Darrel McIntyre will move to Tippecanoe around Feb 14. We will miss him.
The children who will have birthdays this month include: Charles Arthurhultz, Larry Chase, Ruth Roose, and Michael Spinsky.
Our sympathy extends to Larry Chase and his family in their recent sorrow.
Recently we have been having a reading contest between the first and second grades. Some of the first graders are giving certain second graders a merry chase.

SECOND GRADES 3 AND 4
We extend our sincere sympathy to Norma Sue Zehner and family for their recent sorrow.
We are having quite a number of absences due to colds.
The fourth grade, with the assistance of Mrs. Strong have completed a picture of China.
Mary Jane Klind has just returned from Florida. She gave a very interesting talk about her trip. She also brought several interesting shells.

GRADES 5, 6, AND 7
