The Tyner Redmen lost another game by only one point
with Hamlet. Much of the playing was done down on the floor and jump balls were numerous.
Tyner came from behind in the fourth quarter to tie the score at 43 all as the gun sounded and the game went into overtime. Both teams played hard ball in overtime, but Hamlet counted for six points on 2 field goal and 2 free throws, while Tyner had hit for five in one field goal and three free throws. Earl was high for Tyner with 23 points, but Shei held the game honors with 25 points.
Tyner hit 16 of 26 free throws. The score was 49-48.
The Tyner B's just couldn't get over that one point margin that was between the two teams most of the way Lichtenbarger was high for the B's with 13.

A ball-stealing Tyner team just couldn't get by Argos
in the fourth quarter. The Dragons five point lead in the first quarter was narrowed to 3
points at the half. The second team was overcome by Argos B's, 44-25.
RICHLAND CENTERA hard-fighting Tyner Team couldn't get by Center,
but gave them their first good run around in their 7 wins and no loses.
The score was tied in almost every quarter at some point. Center sometimes lead Tyner by as much as 8 points, but the Redmen always seemed to get them back.
In the last minute the score tied at 56 but Center came across with a field goal and the game ended. Center 58, Tyner 56.
Balke was high for Tyner with 14 points and Ecker next with 12.
McKee, Pivot for Center, racked up 17 points for game honors, while Bill Smith and Bob Pontius shared 7 each for Tyner in the B team game.

Liberty, a one game winner over Grovertown, gave
the Redmen a scare for a while but pulled through in the four quarters, after leading by
only two points at the end of the third. The game was somewhat fast, although not many fouls
were called.
Dick Balke was high scorer of the game with 17 points. Next for Tyner was Earl Smith with 10. Tyner 43, Liberty 33.
Bill smith sparked Tyner in the first half of the B, game on one field goal. Bill Kreps won the honors for the papooses with 11 points. Liberty 31, Tyner 15

Lapaz, fast breaking and controlling most of the work
under the banks racked up a fast 21 points in the first quarter. The Redmen could not break
through the Vikings zone defense, which held the Redmen for most of the game. Tyner trailed
by 13 points at the end of the first and 2 quarters.
Tyner rallied during the last quarter. The final score was Lapaz 69, Tyner 61.
The papooses were on the short end of the points against Lapaz loosing 54-36. Litchenbarger was high for Tyner with 12 points.
