IDEAL LADIES PARTY

PREVIOUS
At our April meeting the Tyner Sunshine Society elected officers for 1964-1965. The girls
elected were: President, Shirley Ross; Vice-President, Carol Martin; Corresponding Secretary,
Susan Klingerman; Recording Secretary, Martha Baughman; Treasurer, Beverly Leininger and
Chaplain, Diann Hathaway.
IDEAL LADIES PARTY
On April 23 at eight o'clock approximately 200 Ideal Ladies, mothers and Sunshine girls attended
the annual Ideal Ladies Party.
The theme of the party was "Open the Door." The Sunshine colors of yellow and white were used. Corsages were presented to Ideal Ladies and mothers at the door.
After the welcome bt Shirley Ross, the officers for next year were installed. Louise Schneider ssang the Sunshine song.
Entertainment for the evening consisted of a humorus skit, three musical numbers and a speech. The skit was entitled the "Persecuted Maiden". Those taking part were Gloria Replogle, Martha Baughman, Barbara Pontius, Linda Shank, Claudia Henderson and Regina Dipert. A flute duet was played by Gloria Schmeltz and Linda McBride. A clarinet quartet was made-up of Cindy Martin, Betty Thibodeaux, Bonnie Schmeltz and Terry Pfieffer. The song "Perfect Day" was sung by Myra Foster and Melody Calvert. Barbara Stull told of her experiences at Hoosier Girl's State.

The identity of their girls was revealed to the ladies at close of the program. The group
then retired to the cafeteria for refreshments and a social hour.
JUNIOR HI-YThe Tyner Senior Hi-Y met April 28, 1964, to hold the annual election of officers. The
officers for the 1964-65 Senior HI-Y club are as follows: President, Gene Rese; Vice-President,
Wayne Smith; Chaplain, Lee Zumbaugh; Secretary, Frank Erdelyi; Treasurer, Joe Ross; Sergeant
of Arms, Allen Capes.
F.F.A.
On May 12, 1964, the Tyner F.F.A. chapter held a meeting to elect officers. They are the
following: President, Richey Peterson; Vice-President, Mickey Replogle; Secretary, Roger
Norris; Treasurer, Paul Ruplel Reporter, Ronnie Burch; Sentinel, Jerry Schmeltz;
Parliamentarian, Wayne Smith.
The delegates to the state convention this summer were voted on and they are Richey Peterson and Roger Norris. It was also agreed upon to send all the officers to the Officers Training Camp at Lake Oliver, which is located in the north east corner of the state.
At the end of the meeting Mr. Muncie gave a small speech expressing his appreciation of our local chapter, and Mr. Boise gave a farewell speech since he will no longer be our F.F.A. advisor.
The F.F.A. is planning on having a softball team. Good Luck!
