LAPAZ AT TYNER

PREVIOUS
The first game of the season. Lapaz met Tyner at Tyner to do
their damage. The Vikings got off to a quick start getting 7 runs in the first inning of play.
Smith came across with Tyner's lone run. Emmons, the winning pitcher, gave up 3 hits and Waller
the losing pitcher, gave up 7 hits. The final score was 10 to 1.
ARGOS AT TYNER
Argos Dragons put the heat on Tyner Redmen. Lemert starting pitcher
for Tyner, gave up 12 runs in the first 4 innings at this point Sarber came in to the pitching
position, and gave up only 2 runs during the rest of the game. Hits were numerous and strike outs
were few. The final score was 14-10.
CULVER AT TYNERThe Culver Indians won over Tyner Redmen. In the first inning the
bases were loaded by walking three batters straight. Several hits the same innings gave the Culver
Indians a safe lead. Walks out numbered the strike-outs 20-19. Waller walked 12 and gave up 7 hits.
Crabbs of Culver walked 8 and gave up 3 hits. Culver 10 - Tyner 4.
WEST AT TYNERThe Bulldogs nipped the Redmen. The Bulldogs drove in 4 runs on 3
walks, 2 errors, and one hit. Sarber was the starting pitcher and was relieved by Waller. Al
Wojcik was the winning pitcher for West. The game was called at four innings on account of darkness.
The score was 4-2 in their favor.

TYNER AT BOURBON
The Redmen looked down on Comets. Waller doing the pitching for Tyner
held the Comets to no after the first inning in which the Comets scored 4 times. Tyner scored 3 runs
in the 3-4-5 innings off of Winkle, of Bourbon, and Baily came in to relieve Winkle. Coming into the
sixth inning Tyner trailed 4-3. An error put Shank on base, then a smashing home run by Bill Kreps
brought in the two runs to clinch the ball game. Tyner won 4-5.
THE GRADUATES OF 1950Carl Alberts is working at the Coca Cola Company in Plymouth.
Bonnie Barden is working in the office at Hoss Wholesale.
Andy Borgstedt was working at Studebakers and planning to go to Purdue University until he got polio. He is now improving.
Carl Bostwick , John Jacobson, and Deane Maxson are working at Studebakers.
Mary Dawson is going to night school in South Bend and works in the City laboratory in the daytime.
Ralph Chandlor is in the Navy.
Beverly Haag is doing housework at home.
Ruth Huey is working in the City Laboratory in Elkhart.
Eula Kusener is studying to be a nurse at memorial Hospital in South Bend.
Zane Munn is farming.
Don Pontius is working for Hass Cement and Wholesale Division.
Richard Von Grabow is at Purdue College.
