We are looking forward to our picnic. The room mothers have had nice parties for us and we want to thank them, too.
Our bird study has been very interesting. We have worked hard on our bird books.

FOURTH GRADE NEWS
NEXT
The climax of our year was reached last Tuesday, when we took our trip to Plymouth. We enjoyed
visiting the Jail, Hawthorne-Melody Plant, Telephone Office, and the Pilot-News. At noon, we
ate our lunch and played at the park.
Mrs. Gillies surprised us one hot afternoon, by bringing us a treat, for each one. Thank you Mrs. Gillies, it really helped.

The fifth grade welcomes a new girl, Patty Jones, all the way from Colorado.
In health we have been studying the teeth, the eyes, and the heart, and the lungs. We are learning the various parts of each and their work by making drawings and reports.
For a project in English we wrote radio and TV scripts and combined them into a program which we gave for the fourth grade. Our radio station was Station T.R.S. (Tyner Radio Station). Featured on our station were such programs as "the Little Red Barn," "Judy's Fun Club with Bozo the Clown," "Music with Rick Strang," and of course news, weather, sports, and commercials.
Our class trip was May 20. We went to South Bend where we visited WSBT-TV, Rum Village Park, and the Wheel Horse Factory.
We hope everyone has a nice summer vacation. See you next year.
