SENIOR TRIP
At 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 20th, 28 bright-eyed Seniors
and their 2 sponsors jumped on the General, a coach reserved for us on the Pennsylvania Railroad.
After fourteen and a half hours on the train, we checked into the Hotel New Yorker in New York
ity.
At 8:00 a.m. Wednesday morning approximately 15 minutes after we had arrived, we boarded a bus which transported us to our ship. After a three-hour boat tour of New York, we were refreshed and ready to enjoy lunch and a bus tour of Chinatown. After chop sticks and fire dragons our bus speeded us to the United Nations. Our GUIDED tour was enjoyed immensely by the males of the group. After a hot roast beef dinner at Rockefeller Center, we journeyed under the street to Radio City Music Hall. After a fun-filled evening with the Rockettes, we returned to the New Yorker. For a few, a good night sleep was finally enjoyed but for others the night held many surprises in store.
Thursday morning we took the subway to the World's Fair. In the short time that we had we could not begin to cover everything, but we visited as many pavillons as possible. We all were overwhelmed at this beautiful sight. From the fair we boarded the train and off to Washington we went.
Friday morning we visited the White House, the Capitol building, and our Senator's office. We ate at Basin's and spent the Archives Building. After a colonial meal at a colonial Inn we visited the Wax Museum and the Washington, Jefferson, and Lincoln memorials.

Mrs. Martin: "Wesley, why can't you learn how to add?"
Wesley: "Yesterrday you said 2 and 2 are 4, but today you say 3 and 1 are 4! How can I learn such foolishness?"
Max: "I saw you running to school alongside your bike this morning."
Jack: "Yes, I was late and didn't have time to get on."

Linda: "Let's eat up the street."
Sandy: "Let's not. I hate concrete."
