Welcome aboard the S.S. Savannah! All the Juniors and Seniors,
and their guests were greeted warmly as they sat down to a Southern Fried Chicken banquet aboard
the good ship the S.S.Savannah. Our "Southern black mammy" mothers sang Nellie before serving
us a delious meal of:

Linda Drews senior President, graciously thanked us for the banquet
and for the enjoyable cruise down the mighty Mississippi River.
We had arrived! The S.S.Savannah had just docked, and Magnolis Manor was just down the gang plank to the right. Here, a lovely garden party awaited us. The Starlighters from Triton High School kept us dancing all evening.
Miss Betty Thibedeaux and Mr. Mike Strang were crowned king and queen of Magnolia Manor. Miss Thibedeaux was given a lovely bouquet of red roses.
Then Mr. Hart, from Hart's Studio, of Plymouth, snapped our pictures under the arched trellis near the red brick wall.
Before we knew it the clock-struck -twelve, and the belles and beaus slipped silently away to their homes, and changed to more informal attire.
