We are well on our way toward another happy school year.
We have 14 children in 1st grade and 14 children in 2nd grade. Our first graders are Thomas Leier, Charles Arthurhultz, Carolyn Roose, Fredrick Peterson, Maxine Norton, Gloria Pogozinski, Bonnie Cowen, Linda Smith, Larry Simpson, David Gardner, Sandra Bates, Eileen Brandich, Donald Shaffer, and Ronald Thomas.
Our room will present a program for the P.T.A. on Oct. 17.
Billie Hawthorne left our room for LaPaz School last week.
We have one second grader, Jimmy Traux on the school softball team.

A lot of interest is being shown in our spelling contest. Kay Johnson, Terry Grenert, and Larry Chase have nine stars each.
We are pleased to have Mrs. Crabbs and Mrs. Strong with us again this year.
We had our first P. T. A. meeting Tuesday night. It was very well attended. Everyone enjoyed the entertainment by Mr. Hartman.

We were very sorry to hear that Connie Smith, an eighth grader from LaPaz, who spent her
first six years in Teegarden, is in the hospital with polio.

Mr. Robbins brought his 5th and 6th graders over for a softball game Monday, September
25. After the lead had see-sawed several times, Teegarden came from behind in the 5th inning on a single by Larry
Chase to win 14-13. Jimmy Simpson hit a home run with bases loaded in the 3rd. for Teegarden.
