Third Grade News
We dramatized the Cinderella story for our Language class. Everyone had a part and we found we had some good actors.

Becky has an August birthday.

The birds which we fed all winter have gone. Now we are studying some of the birds we will be seeing this summer. We are makig a bird book.
Fourth Grade News
The annual class trip to Plymouth was taken last week. We visited the Jail, Hawthorne and Melody, County Museum, and the Pilot Company. There were 42 of us, including the Room Mothers, they went. We were sorry Mark Balding had the mumps and could not go,

Those who had perfect spelling for the grading period were:

We enjoyed a cookie party the week thirty of us had perfect spelling for the day.

Annual Dance

On May 31st, the student council sponsored the "Annual Dance." Miss Hission and Mr. Muncie passed out the Annuals to those who ordered them.

Everyone enjoyed refreshments and signing annuals.

PREVIOUS
SENIOR SUPPER


The senior parents honored their sons and daughters with a delicious potluck supper, Wednesday, May 12th. Blue and white petals and small diplomas decorated the tables. After the meal was served, a prophecy was read and baby pictures were shown; Mr. Muncie gave a poem entitled "The Trip?; the senior parents presented a humorous skit, and Mrs. Mary Kuber sang "May You Always." The evening was greatly appreciated and enjoyed by everyone.


4-H NEWS

The Polk Township Sr. and Jr. 4-H clubs held a Mother's Tea, Monday night May 17, in the school cafeteria. Salad, crackers and punch were served.

Rosalie Matz presided. Pledges were led.

"The Kitchen Kats" from Grovertown provided entertainment. They played several selectionns with their kitchen utensils.


Roll call was answered by the introduction of the girl's mothers.


Judy Huffman recited a poem "Any Hands, Any Feet for the Day." Mrs. Caroline Thompson and daughter, Karen, sang a duet "Katydid." Pam Strang gave a skit entitled, "Mrs.Buzzy, News Dispenser." Devotions were given by Lorraine Mullet. She read two poems, "Tribute" and "A Mother's Love." The meeting was closed by presenting each mother with a flower.
