CHEERLEADING TRYOUTS
On April 28, 1965 the next year's student body of Tyner High School assembled in the school's gym to select the cheerleades who will lead their team during the 1965-'66 basketball season. Fourteen girls tried out.

Three Senior girls for next year were picked:
Linda Lemert
Celeste Erickson
Lorraine Mullet      and one Junior Peggy Kinney,
for the Varsity squad. on april 29 the B-team cheer;eaders were picked. The B-team cheerleaders for next year are:
Beverly Leininger
Sharon Klinedinst
Maxine Mullet
and
Connie Biggins

7th Grade

The 7th grade is planning to go to Washington Park in Michigan city, Saturday , May 22. We were planning to go May 15th, but because of rain it was postponed. Let's hope it doesn't rain next Saturday!

Among the summer activities of the students in the class will be camping, horseback riding, baseball, swimming, babysitting, and 4-H.

8th Grade

On April 15th, the eighth grade class enjoyed their class skating party at the Plymouth Skating Palace.

We are looking forward to our class trip next Saturday to Chicago. We plan to visit the Museum of Science and Industry, and the Museum of Natural History.

Senior Hi-Y News
As their delegate to the Hi-Y Officers Training Camp, the Senior Hi-Y members have chosen Mark Ross, who will spend one week at the camp in August.


On May 15th, the senior Hi-Y members took a trip to Chicago. They attended a baseball game and saw a movie.
Sunshine News

The annual Ideal Ladies Party was held April 27th, in the Tyner High School gymnasium. Upon arrival, each mother and Ideal Lady were presented with a corsage of yellow and white mums.

To begin the program the Sunshine girls marched in, said the creed, and Linda Shank, Diane Peterson and Beverly Leininger sang the Sunshine song. The new officers, who were installed, are as follows:

Janet Wolff sang "One Little Candle."
The guest speaker was Nawal Nader, who spoke on "Social Customs of Lebanon." Shirley Ross, then presented a gift to Miss Hoover. The Ideal Ladies were revealed. Refreshments were then served in the cafeteria by the Juniors. Pam Strang also entertained the girls and the ideal Ladies with a skit entitled "Late Again."
